Oatmeal Cookies
Liz came by to bake some cookies at my place, since her place is so amazingly hot right now. She’s got a small AC unit over there, but it’s not able to do much during this current heat wave. In fact, she’s had to spend the night here because it’s so unbearably hot in her apartment (her bedroom is off the kitchen, and doesn’t even have a window).
Since turning on an oven in an already overheaded apartment isn’t her idea of fun, she decided to head over here (where there’s air conditioning) to bake some cookies.
Which works out well for me. :)
These cookies (oatmeal raisin) come from a secret recipe that her mom received, with the stipulation that she could only share it with her daughters. The recipe itself is something like 150+ years old, or something like that.
And let me tell you, these cookies are DAMN good. Man, I wish I had another one right now…
