Visiting Kansas City, Part 2
Most of the day was spent lazing around, hanging out. Darryl and I watched a ridiculous amount of Japanese TV clips on YouTube, resulting in both of us questioning why US TV doesn’t follow suit.
I’m not exactly sure what cut of meat this is, but it was delicious. Liz’s dad, Kirt, prepared the meal for us, along with some baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and dinner rolls.
After dinner (and after the kids were asleep), we were all tasked with assembling Isabelle’s gift – a standalone train set.
Kirt, Darryl and I assembled the main table part of the set. Everoyne else jumped in afterwards, and worked on all the different pieces (laying down the track, putting the buildings together). All in all, it took us about 2-3 hours.
Looking over this, I’m reminded of the video I took while visiting the Franklin Park Conservatory, in Columbus, OH.
