Bugs, Daffy and Elmer: Saturday Morning Cartoon Nostalgia
56 years ago today, the classic cartoon Rabbit Seasoning ran for the first time in movie theaters. I was delighted to stumble across this wonderful MetaFilter post, and happy to see Bugs, Daffy and Elmer once more on my screen.
As I mentioned in a comment in the post, I’m no longer a kid, and the screen is a computer monitor… but the same happiness washed over me. I used to love waking up early to catch what few cartoons I could (before the violin lessons took over my Saturdays), and seeing this cartoon again brought a lot of that back.
In the spirit of Saturday morning cartoons, here’s all three from the trilogy:

Classic ‘toons are the best! A week or two ago, Jane and I were having an in-depth conversation about my personal fave, Tom & Jerry (along with its ex post facto censorship issues, as touched upon in the Metafilter thread you linked). Pink Panther was also awesomely psychedelic. Between T&J, PP, and Looney Tunes, so many giggles were had!
