I-Movix SprintCam v3: HD Slow Motion Video, Over 1000 Frames Per Second
This video by David Coiffier made the rounds last month, but bears viewing if you haven’t seen it. I’m not exactly sure on the specs of the video camera, but it seems that the Rugby shots were one at 1000 fps (frames per second), and the red jelly was done at 2500 fps.
What I love about this video is how crisp AND slow everything else. Usually, there’s a lot more blur when normal video is slowed down. And for really crisp images, we generally think of something like timelapse.
Watching this showreel, it’s an odd feeling to see such slow movement, and yet see so much detail at every moment. The video is really quite amazing, and very mesmerizing.
