Pencil Vs Camera

Pencil Vs Camera is a fantastic Flickr photo collection by Dutch photographer Ben Heine. Combining real world photos with his own illustrations, there are some amazing juxtapositions in this set.

I’m not entirely clear whether all these images are actual photographs (suggesting that Heine did the illustrations right at the spot where the photo was taken). In looking a bit closer, a few are definitely photoshopped and done after the fact. But honestly – I don’t care. The style and playfulness of these photos are awesome, and for the few that look like he was actually physically there… they’re even more stunning.
