Tokyo Time-Lapse: inter // states by Samuel Cockedey

inter // states is a great time-lapse video of Tokyo by Samuel Cockedey. If your computer can handle it, I highly recommend going to Vimeo’s site to view this in HD, full screen.

While the main visuals are usually cars or trains speeding by in a blur of light, I found myself drawn to some of the smaller details: lights flickering on and off in buildings, bright elevators travelling up and down.

It’s brief, but at 1:32 you can catch a glimpse of fireworks going off behind the city skyline, near the top of the video. My favorite part starts around 3:10, when the planes in the sky seem to flit across the screen like mayflies.
