Man Saves Dog’s Life Using Pet CPR
Ron Pace runs Canyon Crest K9 Training Center, in Tacoma, WA. During a regular training session with a boxer, the dog collapsed suddenly and stopped breathing. Pace immediately jumped into action, and was able to resuscitate the animal using CPR, with the entire event captured on video.
Warning: I have to say, I debated posting this video on the blog. It’s pretty tough to watch, as the owner is a few feet away and you can litereally hear her heart breaking. It all ends well, but it’s just… man. Really, really tough to watch.
Since I posted about Continuous Chest Compression CPR before, it seemed like a good opportunity to share this kind of information again. Whether it’s a human or an animal, no one ever really plans or expects to need CPR. But it never hurts to know what to do, just in case.
