Police Shootout in Los Angeles, 1938
This amazing image was featured on Chasing Light, one of a few photography blogs I follow. It was taken in 1938, during a shootout between police and a man who had barricaded himself in his house. Apparently, two officers were at the scene earlier, trying to serve the man an eviction notice when he shot them both.
I’m in awe of how crisp and detailed the image is, and it looks more to me like a still from a movie set. Hard to believe it’s from the 1930’s.
