Umbrella Hat, Logan Square
Spotted this woman walking around Logan Square yesterday. I’m not sure of the actual purpose of her umbrella hat. If it was meant to block the sun, that made sense… but there were a ton of clouds out, and the entire sky was a blanket of gray. If it was meant to prevent against rain, it would protect her head… but left the rest of her body exposed.
Practical or not, this was a pretty fun thing to see. And it made Liz and I smile when we spotted her. Although truth be told, the whole time I was checking out her umbrella hat I half-expected a baseball game to materialize around her.
Did she have an elaborate hairstyle she was perhaps trying to protect?
