Words With Friends: A 111-Point Mistake

Over the past few months, I’ve been playing Words With Friends with my friend Sandra. I think I might have won maybe one game off her in the early days, but she’s been consistently kicking my butt ever since.

In our latest game, I was doing fairly well. I’ve been maintaining a decent lead over her from the start, and always keeping somewhere around 10-30 points ahead of her.

Late last night, I was trying to clear out some letters and chanced across a decent move – I played the word heuch – which apparently is a cliff of some kind. I’ll admit – it was a trash play, but gave me about 15 points. At the time it was enough to keep me in the lead, and I was content.

Doh! That is not a small number!
