Helmet Cam: Mieders Alpine Coaster, No Brakes
Shot by David Ellis, this first person view of an alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria is pretty spectacular. If you can, I highly recommend watching it full-screen – you’ll be gripping your seat as he careens down hillsides, over and through bridges and tunnels.
On top of all that, he did it without using the brake – which explains some of the ridiculous turns he makes. I tried tracking down more information about this site, but haven’t found much beyond other sites linking to the video. I’d love to learn more about where this is, and how one goes about buying a ticket for this thing.
I’m not a huge fan of rollercoasters or heights, but my lord – this looks like a ton of fun. How far is it to Austria, again?
