Lives of great-men oft-remind us,
We can make our own sublime,
And in dying leave behind us,
Footprints on the sands of time.

Bottom Right: One-Two-Three
You know a word that’s generally underused today? Sublime. We’re not dropping that word nearly as much, anymore. I don’t think this is due to a lack of sublime things, I think it’s just one of those words that’s gotten away from us.
Had a tough time with the handwriting here, particularly with the author’s signature and the note in the top-left corner.
For the corner note, I’m assuming it’s the abbreviation for Long Island… but I’m not 100% on this. That first character is a doozy, and “L.I.” was my best guess. Same goes for Janice’s last name.
