Dancing in Point Clouds: Unnamed Soundsculpture
Unnamed Soundsculpture is a video created by Cedric Kiefer and Daniel Franke (and apparently 3 Microsoft Xbox Kinects). The end result is pretty neat:
Man, do I love it when tech helps to blur the boundaries between disciplines. Seeing this setup reminds me a lot of my early days with Flash, trying to take video recordings of people and transform them into vector still frames. It was all WAY less tech-y, in comparison… but the video setup and the stark room all have a hint of those early days for me.
Interestingly, while the final video itself was pretty neat to see… I was almost more interested in the “Making Of” video, and being able to peek behind the scenes.
