17-20-23: Alex Dainis Lip-Syncs With Herself Over 6 Years
I happened to see this video making the rounds on the Internet today, when I realized… wait! I know that person!
Alex Dainis has been recording herself lip-syncing to the song Aaron’s Party, once every three years. She started when she was 17, and recent posted up a video showing herself at age 17, 20 and 23… singing together.
The crazy thing is – I’ve met Alex before! Back in 2010, she was a Finalist for MSI’s Month at the Museum contest, where one lucky winner would get to live at the Museum of Science and Industry for an entire 30 days.
I was fortunate enough to be a Finalist too, and got to meet Alex and the other Finalists for breakfast, prior to the big reveal.
Ever since we met in Chicago, I’ve been following Alex on Twitter. And as you can see from this video, she is just awesome. Favorite line from her description of the video: I think it’s simultaneously the best and worst idea I’ve ever had.
Can’t wait to see what this will look like in 3, 6, 9 years…

The best part is that I just opened the homepage of your blog from your kickball post and had a moment of “Wait… that’s me!”
The awesome, my friend, is mutually shared :)
