3 Years, 3 Minutes

My friend Dan was recently asking me about an old project of mine entitled 3 Year 3 Minutes. In a nutshell, the project stitched together every photograph I took between 2003 – 2005 (in the video above, all the images in the first cell are from 2003, etc).

Unfortunately, it seems like I’ve misplaced all the original source files for this project. And all I could find was the low-res version of the video. But since I made this thing near the very early days before YouTube took off… I figured it would be good to actually upload the thing, and make it available in something other than a 25+ MB QuickTime file.

Looking at this again, after nearly 6 years… it’s a shame the quality is so terrible. I doubt this video means all that much to anyone else, but it’s a lot of fun for me to watch it in one go… seeing all the various events and things I experienced. Surprising to me how many things are actually documented somewhere, on the blog.

One of these days, I should see about trying this project again. I’ve got data from about 10 years now, and it would be an interesting experiment to try stitching together a decade worth of photos.
