Saturday Morning Slow Jams: Old School Cartoon Theme Songs as 90’s R&B

This pretty much does what it says on the tin. For those not familiar with the song, here’s the original. This was a cartoon that I never got that much into, but my sister loved it and watched it often. I think we may have argued a lot about the show, as whenever she was watching it I probably wanted to watch something else.

There are a host of other songs in this playlist, including the Animaniacs Theme Song and the Transformers Theme Song.

I was reminded of this cover after recently seeing a jazz cover of “All About That Bass.” What’s weird is that I wasn’t familiar at all with Meghan Trainor until I heard this cover and then went to look up the original. Since I heard Kate Davis’ version first, it’s the version I think of as the canonical one.
