Trees in Transit

Liz and I spotted these trees last week, wrapped and seated on the back of a truck along 55th street.

It struck me funny to see them situated this way – set up for movement/transport, when by its nature each tree is meant to be a stationary object. But seeing this also made me glad that more trees are being added along 55th.

There is a set of fairly large/mature trees that are planted in a line, just East of Blackstone. Comparing those trees with these younger ones, I wonder how much time difference there is between the older trees and the ones waiting to go into the ground.
