Ron Slattery’s Amazing Collection of Found Photographs
Ron Slattery was one of the amazing presenters at last week’s 20×2 Chicago event. While I was looking over the links to all the speakers recently, I stumbled across Ron Slattery’s website, bighappyfunhouse.com.
Slattery is a huge (huge!) collector of old/found photographs. I learned on Saturday that he’s one of the three people who discovered/purchased some of Vivian Maier’s work.
Slattery’s collection is absolutely massive. I stumbled across his archive page, and this thing dates back to 2004! Each entry is its own found photo and it’s simply fascinating to sift through.
While I wish there was some way to easily move to the next or previous entry, it’s still a great place to lose a lot of time. Look around, explore… and see what you might find.

Why is there no web page for him? Apparently. Even the link mentioned in this article does not work.

Also, looks like there’s an Instagram account.
