Farewell, Rdio
Late in the evening, Rdio announced a farewell page that gave users access to their listening data… and a few other tidbits as well.
Even though I’ve already moved my data to Spotify, I still grabbed a copy from Rdio – just in case. I’m glad to see they provided users with the ability to get this data before the doors closed.
Some details I found out, thanks to their farewell page:
I joined on August 2, 2011. The first thing I listened to was “Call of the Playground” by Shudder to Think. The song I played the most was Ordinary, by Copeland (a surprise). My most-played album was The Weatherman, by Gregory Alan Isakov (not a surprise).
The first playlist I made was a list of covers of Across the Universe.
Total listening time: 2,218 hours.
Technically, that number should go up a little bit. The Rdio service officially shuts down on December 22, so I’ve still got a little bit of listening to do yet. While there’s still time.
