Busy Backyard

With all the sleet that fell earlier this week, coupled with a day or two of snow, most of Chicago is covered in a layer of white. I assumed most everything was solid, but it turns out… the snow still seems to be tracking the animals that walk through/across our backyard.

Liz has been keeping an eye on the backyard, throughout our vacation. Each days she says she can tell if newer tracks have appeared.

There’s not been a ton of activity in our yard during the day, so I presume most of this happens at nighttime, when we’re asleep. I’m sure the animals also break out some kind of strobe light and fog machines too, but they’re polite enough to keep the music down so as not to disturb anyone sleeping nearby.
