First Snow

Winter is this inevitability. We’ve had such a mild Fall, it felt like winter would never really arrive. But with the recent drop in temperature, I knew the cold was on its way. But today’s first snow caught me by surprise.

I had heard from Bob that we were going to get a few inches, but that news didn’t quite process for me. And looking out the window as the snow came down, it’s like Winter showed up suddenly, out of the blue.

The backyard looks more dramatic, particularly with our neighbor’s tree dusted in white.

And like clockwork, every year I think to myself again that I really need to convert my “>First Snow project away from flash, and over to JS/HTML.
