The Night Before the Storage Unit Move

Tomorrow morning, we have a crew of movers coming over to relocate all our boxes into a storage unit.

It’s part of our larger plan for the second floor, to literally clear out as much as we can… so we can start to do some serious work up here: ripping out the old floor, putting down insulation and conduit, adding new plywood, and also getting some walls set up.

It’s going to be a busy next few months, and it all starts tomorrow – with these boxes getting relocated for the time being.

Liz, packing up one of the last boxes.

A smallish set of boxes in the guest room.

And a majority of our boxes in the main office. To look at it, you’d think we eat a lot of eggs and drink a lot of liquor. Which, actually, isn’t too far off the truth. But we did get a lot of boxes from nearby stores, to help out.

It’s going to be an interesting morning, tomorrow.

  1. It’s been a while since I checked in here so maybe I’ve missed something, but where are the bunnies? How do they feel about all these boxes and moving-out of things?

    • The bunnies live downstairs, in our living room / kitchen area. They really haven’t been upstairs at all, since the floors are all shot and there’s not a lot of space to move around. So they mainly hang out on the first floor, and occasionally run up/down the stairs to the second floor. Which we have blocked off, with a baby gate.

With the boxes now gone, we’ll be looking to renovate the second floor. And hopefully all of us (humans and bunnies alike) will be spending more of our time upstairs.
