Puppet Bike, Without the Puppets

Spotted the puppet bike, parked by the Chicago Cultural Center yesterday. I recognized it almost immediately, though it’s been nearly seven years since I’ve seen the thing in action.

And hey, they have a Wikipedia page now.

Though the bike wasn’t set up to perform, I felt an immediate sense of joy seeing it again. It stopped me in my tracks, and though there was a river of people leaving the nearby Metra station… it felt nice to pause and stop. To have my regular routine of walking from train to work interrupted, if only for a memory.
