Flooding and a Fixed Water Pipe

I walked over near Treasure Island on the way to work this morning, wondering if I’d see any of the water/flooding that my neighbor Betsy had posted about, online (last night, she had posted some
amazing
videos of a hydrant that had been intentionally opened). My guess was that this was done as part of the pipe work we
saw the other day.

The streets near Treasure Island were dry, but I saw that the area along 55th had been cordoned off.

On looking a little closer, I saw that the pipe had been repaired. Seeing how much work it took to repair just this one portion, I can’t imagine replacing the entire thing.
