Clock of the Long Now: Installation Begins
Ever since I heard about the 10,000 year clock, I’ve been fascinated by the sheer scale of the project. A few days ago, I saw an email from The Long Now Foundation, announcing that construction on the clock had begun.

Usually, clocks give us a sense of urgency, of time slipping between our fingers. With this project, I find myself imagining time slowing and stretching to fill that tremendous distance between now and 10,000 years from now.
