Tuesday Funk
Did my regular routine of stopping over for coffee, right before heading to Hopleaf prior to Tuesday Funk. I was running a little late, but had just enough time to settle down for a cup, while looking over the things I was planning on reading.
Interesting change for me – though I had some poems to read (some old, some new), I also decided to read the short essay I wrote for Cassette From My Ex, entitled “Felix + Dzintra + Queensrÿche”.
Rachel Z. Arndt, kicking off the evening at Hopleaf.
It’s been a long while since I’ve done a reading, and it always feels nice/familiar to do something like this again. With 20×2 Chicago on Friday, me starting a new job yesterday, and this today… it’s been a busy few days.
