It Can Still Be Christmas If You Wish It
Liz pointed out this small display on the sidewalk, on our way to work this morning. She had spotted it yesterday, and apparently it’s been out here, untouched, since then.
I know this is someone looking to give away some Christmas decorations, but a part of me likes imagining someone creating a special shrine – as a way of invoking the season to remain, despite the days.
We had a big amount of snow a few days ago, and I was up early in the morning to witness it. Walking around outside, the snowflakes were fat and slow, and the whole neighborhood was covered. And for a brief moment, I could imagine it still being December, and Christmas being a day that had yet to arrive.
