Failing to Reward the Industrious

Spotted this guy on my car, early in the morning circa 7:00 AM. I pulled in late last night, and over what seems like a small number of hours… this small guy created this large bit of work. Which I then promptly destroyed, as I drove off to get my morning coffee.
The way of the world, I suppose. But I felt badly letting my needs destroy another’s industriousness. He really had quite the web, and it must have taken no small amount of effort.
The fact that I am a developer by trade, and much of my own livelihood depends on the world wide web? That irony is not lost on me.
Sorry, little buddy.
