Suddenly, Azul

Liz and I were heading to bed, and it was late – a few minutes past midnight. It’d been a long day, we had a late lunch which resulted in an even later dinner. And it felt like the whole evening was actually a few hours earlier than what it actually was.

Liz asks if I’m interested in playing a board game. Given the time, I told her I was ready for bed.

As I walk into the bedroom, I see Liz sitting on the floor and Azul set up, with all the pieces ready to go. I’m convinced she was super quiet with all the tiles, as she was setting this up.

Only a monster would refuse to play, and demand we head to sleep. So of course I sat down and we played a round. After midnight. Because why not, I guess.

Unexpected board game. Set up by a pro.
