I think I was browsing around various Tiny Desk videos, and happened across Phoebe Bridgers’ green screen contribution. Her song “Kyoto” stuck with me, and I’ve had it looping ever since.
To clarify, I’m still listening incessantly to Frances Quinlan and Hop Along (I’ve made a playlist called “OCD Looper” and just added Bridgers to it). The playlist has three songs on it.
Weirdly, the first song I had ever heard from Bridgers was a Christmas song. It was “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. And there was such a melancholic twinge to it (a twinge that seems to lurk just underneath almost every popular Christmas song).
