Pi Day is… Not Supported

Sadly, Flash is no longer supported by Chrome. It’s been like this for a few months, and there’s a lot of things on my site now that simply… won’t work.

One thing I had forgotten about was my pi10k experiment, a small little keyboard that you could play notes on… and it would play back those notes, mapped to a particular digit. The first note you played would be treated as “1”, the second note played treated as “2”, etc.

I made this thing a really long time ago, back when I was learning about strings and arrays. And it got a small life of its own, with traffic arriving from schoolrooms around this time of year.

Sadly, this experiment isn’t working anymore. I mean, it technically is but there’s just no good way to view/run it anymore.

I’ve got a handful of old Flash projects that I failed to maintain over the years, and a backlog of things to try to revisit and fix. Or at this point, recreate.

I feel I’ve let a wide group of strangers down, by not anticipating or realizing this before now. Here’s hoping I can fix this thing up before the next time Pi Day rolls around.
