Passive Tagging

A very random discovery: Liz was changing today, and this small bit of plastic fell out of the garment she was putting on. Curious, we looked at it a bit closer and realized it was more than just a sticker – it was some kind of electronic tagging device.

A quick search of the ID listed (EOS430-U8-W-001) took us to to a website for a company called Tageos.
I guess these are passive RFID stickers? I found it pretty remarkable that the ID on the sitcker turned up this very specific search result. I wonder if the ease in looking up who is surveiling you offsets the growing realization that more and more people are surveiling you.
