Potato Harvest

In addition to the posts we put along the back fence, Liz also started to use some of that space to grow potatoes.

Rather than grow them directly in the soil, she is uses these specialized bags that allow for a custom mixture of soil (and also allow the water to drain if overfull).

They’ve been doing their own thing for a while now, and tonight she decided to harvest some.

There’s even a small hatch area near the bottom, for easier access.

First spud!

It was a small harvest, but just the perfect amount for our dinner tonight.
