Strong Winds, 63rd Street Beach, Hyde Park

There have been strong winds all day today. Gusts that we felt, even inside the house, as we were working.

Liz and I talked about going out to see the waves from Lake Michigan during the afternoon, but we were both just too busy. So we ended up hopping in the car around 5PM, to go have a look before things got too dark.

A bit of golden light in the distance, as the waves rolled in.

In the sand, we spotted some footprints.

Looking towards Hyde Park, with downtown in the distance.

While we were the only ones walking the beach, this guy was the only one actually out on the water… trying to surf the waves. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is.
