Vintage Kitchen Door Restoration: Stripping Paint

Liz has been at work, stripping paint off the vintage kitchen door we got, earlier this year. I stopped down in the basement to check out some of her progress.

It’s a big task, getting into all the little nooks and crannies.

An interesting surprise: underneath the paint, there was a layer of gold. We’re both perplexed as to why, and what the door might have been used for, originally.
