Walking Through Tokyo

Virtual Japan is a YouTube channel with a lot of lengthy, high resolution videos of Japan. Many of them are walking videos, taken from the perspective of a pedestrian, travelling.

In particular, I was taken with this video of a night walk in Tokyo, from 2020:

I’m awed at how, at times, there are these side streets that seem incredibly peaceful… and almost desolate. And then a few corners later, it’s a completely busy street full of pedestrians and cars.

Also worth checking out: this walk in Kyoto midnight rainstorm. A lot of really fun videos to explore, particularly when so many of us are at home and unable to travel.
