I’m Seeing Double Here: Four LED Strips!

Continuing my exploration of Neopixel LED strips… I added a few more things to the mix. I wanted to see how well my power supply worked with two LED strips, and got that working ok.

In addition to two strips, I also wired in a microswitch – and updated the code so that the LEDs would show one sequence normally… but another sequence when the switch was thrown.

I have to confess – the first time I pressed the switch and saw this working, I started giggling uncontrollably. This is all fairly rudimentary electronics wiring, but I continue to feel lucky every time things just work – and also lucky that my components aren’t exploding in a small burst of flame and smoke.
