Second Pocket Door: Work Begins
We moved the second pocket door down to the basement recently. We have a lot of doors stored down here already, but with our recent basement reorg… we’ve got a lot more room to work with.
First step is to strip the paint from the door.
An interesting point of comparison: here’s what the doors looked like, originally.
Close up of the stripper doing its thing: the yellow/light areas are the paint coming loose from the wood.
This sits for about 12+ hours, and then needs to get removed at some point tomorrow. It’s interesting to imagine both pocket doors being “done,” and eventually getting reinstalled upstairs.
