Opening Up the Apple Trees
I came out to the backyard tonight to see that Liz had taken off the screens we’d put up, around our apple trees.
Previously, she’d seen signs of leaves being eaten (possibly rabbits), and wanted to safeguard these apple trees until they got a bit bigger. Hard to believe that we installed these posts in 2021 and planted these guys a year ago.
They look quite healthy to me (but Liz pointed out that they are prone to a host of issues, and require a lot of maintenance). Cool to see them shaping up along the wires, and cannot wait to see what they will look like in another year, in another two years, in another five years.
I’m getting the strong feeling that these guys need names. Just so that we can distinguish one from the other. Open to suggestions.
