Remembering the Old Yard
I was giving a small tour of our backyard to a neighbor recently, and it made me look over some old photos of our backyard (back when it was still an unattended, overgrown mess).
We made a good effort to try to clear the space ourselves, manually. But ended up hiring out the work, because of just how massive the effort ended up being.

An old birdbath, situated in the middle of the yard. This was early Spring, before the day lillies really took over the whole space.

Liz, trying to carve out a path circa 2014. We eventually hired out the work to clear this area with a mini bulldozer.
That arbor really was a project. But it still remains something I’m incredibly proud of, and a very lovely addition to our backyard.
