Crane and Trees

A day or so ago, Liz and I were driving down South Lake Park Avenue, and got redirected. Turns out, there was this enormous crane situated in the middle of the road… and was in the process of lifting up trees to a nearby rooftop.

We’re used to seeing a lot of cranes as a result of nearby construction. But this was a first, to see something smack in the middle of the street. We were both pretty awed at how high it extended.

Fast forward a few days later, with me walking to the nearby Metra stop. I glanced over, and spotted some trees along a nearby rooftop.

Saw a lot of guys in construction vests, walking and assessing the newly planted trees. It was lovely to see from a distance.

I think that now: I need to see whether I can make it onto that rooftop. That would be a fun view.
