The Red Skeleton House
While we were driving in the suburbs (dropping off the bunnies at our bunny sitter’s house), we happened across a house that was really, really going 100% in for Halloween.
Liz spotted it initially, but I missed it driving by. On our way home, Liz insisted I slow down… and on seeing it, I just had to pull the car over.
Reader, I was in awe. And got out to take photos, because of just how magnificent the whole thing was.
Just this view from the street corner is overwhelming.
Detail view. And yes, the skeleton in the yard has a rotating head, and when it fixates on you it’s extra creepy.
So much is happening.
A closer look at the front porch. This was as close as I was willing to get, for my own safety.
Just… absolutely incredible. I can’t imagine the time and money that went into this, but I love it so very much.
If you’re near Berwyn/Cicero, swing by 27th and South Austin Boulevard. There’s just a few days left before Halloween so I think I’d even advocate driving by there, just to experience this amazing house.
But definitely do it at night.
