The Tallest Man on Earth: There’s No Leaving Now

I’ve mentioned this song previously, but it’s a song I’ve started to listen to again recently. And it really is such a lovely, lovely song.

And since I’m listening to it a lot, in some ways I’m hoping that by sharing it some of you out there will listen to it as well.

It feels odd to repeat a song/post, but here we are. The first time I posted about this, I shared a live performance of the song (Matsson’s live performances, from what I’ve seen, are consistently really good).

But I want folks to hear the original album version, the one I think of. The one I’m listening to now:

The above lines are still my favorite, melodically. We are well past Fall, and entering into Winter. And for me, the timing of this song, hearing it now, feels right.
