Travel Day

This morning, we all made it a point to wake up early to go out to breakfast together, at a nearby restaurant. With all our bathrooms more or less out of commission, we needed somewhere else to… “go.”

Tricia had a flight to catch, but we all had some personal business to attend to. And the best way we could figure on this, was to have breakfast at a restaurant… and take turns.

This worked out pretty well, actually.

While we were out, Kirt was able to get an emergency appointment and have someone come to the house to check on the situation. He was able to use a few of the cleanouts that were out in the yard… but none of those seemed to address the issue. He ended up needing to remove the toilet, and snake things from inside the house.

By the time we left, he had finished up and the sewer lines were all working again. A rough end to the visit, but a memorable morning (and breakfast) for sure.

I was (pleasantly) surprised to see a slogan of “Love for all, hatred for none” on the side of a semi-truck. Looks like this was a vehicle from Advance Trucking Solutions, Inc.

Doing a little digging, I’m also seeing that the phrase seems to be related to the Ahmadiyya Islamic movement. There doesn’t seem to be any reference to this on their official website, but most of the search results I get for this phrase seem to refer back to Islamic influences.

An odd, and somewhat comforting thing to see, on the way home.
