A Productive Night in the Office

Liz and I suited up after work, and actually had a remarkably productive night in the office. We did a divide and conquer thing, and were just plugging away at our own tasks.

For my part, I pulled up the remaining flooring in the office by the fireplace. Despite the challenges I ran into getting plywood, I had the material ready to go down. So this small stretch of old flooring had to go.

Liz focused on getting drywall pieces put up by our West wall, which involves two windows and a small doorway that leads to a small balcony.

While I helped with some of the larger pieces, she got almost all of this up tonight. A lot of rectangles, with a few custom cuts here and there. But she mad great use of a lot of our remaining scraps, and really put up a lot in a short amount of time.

The house work ebbs and flows. Sometimes it’s just slow and we don’t get much done. And then there are nice moments like this, where the momentum is going and we get a solid patch of work finished in a single session.
