Mother’s Day at the I-80 Flea Market

I had forgotten how friendly and nice most vendors are – if you express an interest in an item, they’re usually more than enthusiastic about telling you its history, how they acquired it, what they know about it. While some vendors are simply selling off old junk to get rid of it, many of them are collectors – passionate about a particular type of item, and very into the things they place on their tabletops.

Baxter and Quincy Explore the Outdoors for the First Time

We spent Thanksgiving in Frankfort with Julie and Bob, and since we were there for a few days… we ended up bringing Baxter and Quincy along. There was a warm room in the basement where Julie has her plants, and so that ended up being the perfect spot for them. But before we transferred them inside, it was warm enough that we decided to give them a bit of time outside, in the yard.

Frankfort Fall Festival, 2012

After a quick lunch, everyone parted ways. The girls went shopping, Dan and Cameron headed to the Midway for rides… and Bob and I headed over to the music store. There, I tried out a few acoustic guitars, and then we made our way over to Frankfort Bowl to escape the heat and to sink a beer.

Happy 4th Birthday, Audrey!

On Sunday, Liz and I trekked down to Frankfort to hang out with Tricia and the kids (who are in town for a week, visiting from Georgia).

Shortly after we arrived, the girls got changed into their bathing suits and a mini-pool was filled up in the backyard. Despite the warm weather, the water from the hose was pretty icy cold. Despite several pitchers of hot water from the kitchen, it was still a pretty icy in there.

Cabinet Work in Frankfort, Continued

Last Sunday, I went down to Frankfort to hang out with Bob and to do a little woodworking. Or, to be more specific… I helped out while Bob did a little woodworking. It’s always fun to tackle projects with Bob, and while I may still not know a lot… my hope is to glean as much as I can, watching him go through his process.

Photo Shoot in Frankfort

Over the weekend, Liz and I headed down to Frankfort to participate in some family photos. A friend of Tricia’s is a photographer, and was going to do some group/family pictures for all of us. What normally is a 45 minute trip ended up taking a little over two hours. Moments after we got into the car, we realized that…

Opening Presents in Frankfort

On waking up, one of the first things I started to do was mess around some more with the camera. Downstairs, looking onto the fantastic dining room table setup. Messing around with the macro settings. Every started to arrive around 10:30, and we all sat down to a pretty fantastic meal (that’s my plate there, on the bottom left). L…

Christmas Day in Frankfort

After departing from Indy around 3PM, we made our way to Frankfort to spend the rest of the weekend with Liz’s folks. It was a quiet evening, as it was just the four of us relaxing in the house. There were a lot of trees set up, the lights were down low, and the entire place was bathed in a…

PC Troubleshooting in Frankfort

Saturday afternoon, I headed down to Frankfort to help troubleshoot Bob’s PC. There’s a wireless network set up, but he was wanting to connect his PC desktop to it (using a USB adapter). Liz was here on Friday, and dropped off the robot costume. I was just going to scrap the thing, but when Tricia heard we weren’t going to…
