Beasts of Balance

Each turn, the beasts lose a bit of energy. If they lose too much energy, they end up going extinct. You can fight against this by adding in Element Artefacts that correspond to each beast (earth, air, water, fire).

By now, many of us have played Tic-Tac-Toe to the point where it’s no longer a fun game. We can usually guess what the next best move is, and most games end in a tie. But before you roll your eyes at taking up X’s and O’s again, check out Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe – a variant that involves not one, but nine different boards in one game.
Last weekend, I was in the mood for a new game for my iPad. I browsed around and downloaded Where’s My Water? (which made the Best of 2011 on jayisgames.com, in the Physics category). Which, incidentally, is none other than my good friends Chris and Matt. I’ve had the chance to play this game a lot, and I can say with confidence that it’s a great game, and incredibly…
I’m excited to announce that Chris and Matt Miner have teamed up to create a pretty awesome game/app! It’s called Wiz Kid Jr. and it just became available on the Android Marketplace as of Monday! I got to test out a version of the game a week or two ago, and found it incredibly addictive. There’s a lot to explore…
Not the best screenshot in the world, but a quick glimpse at what Z-Type looks like. It’s an HTML5-based typing game that is incredibly satisfying (particularly if you enjoy typing). There’s this deep thump that almost comes through the keyboard with each keystroke. Oddly gratifying.

It’s calming at first, but even as the difficulty increases… it still feels tranquil, without making you feel jittery. A wonderful concept, and I find the audio to be as impressive as the programming here….
