Shower is done!
When we left Georgia in June, Sergio was still finishing up the tile work for the shower.

We have a few nights booked at Zelda Dearest, in the Sundrop suite.
It got a bit… shouty. And a lot loud. And a lot competitive. But was as raucous and as fun as I hoped it would be. Really a fun, fun game all around.
Went on a run today, near the Camp Creek Greenway Trail. While Liz was off on her long run, I encountered what looked to be the end of a 5K.
I felt a little odd, walking by and doing my stretches… as I weaved in/out/around all these folks. One of these days, I’m going to be a part of this crowd.
Back home – Tricia is back home! And hanging out with everyone in the front yard.
Liz outside, adding more plants to the front yard.
I tried to be as obnoxious as I could, asking if they had bananas… and then insisting that they sell me a full banana.
Audrey was really calm and professional, and explained that they weren’t allowed to sell fruit directly. My reply was: “But I have a lot of money.”
Liz and I were losing it in the car, but Audrey was cool and professional through and through. Eventually we just ordered Blizzards like normal people, and made our way to the window.
Newly refinished deck chairs.
Bagster came to do their pickup, and I got to see the whole process. I’ve used this service I don’t know how many times now… and I feel like each time, I push the envelope just a little more, in terms of how much weight I put into each bag.
I happened to be in the driveway, late at night… and was just looking at the house. And felt moved to take a photo, to capture the moment.
Demo work, continued. With the walls cleared off, the focus today was getting the floor and curb removed. Which ended up being just as much work.
Demo begins. This stuff is heavy – and the tile is very sharp. I was able to peel it off in sections, but each piece had some significant heft. There was a lot of huffing and puffing, as I hauled each of these large pieces down a flight of stairs, across the front yard, and up the driveway to the Bagster.
All of the debris from the back porch repair was relocated over into this space, along the side of the house. It’s been a bit of time since that work, and it’s mostly just sat here… waiting.
Went on a run today, to pick up our tile order. Who knew that so much tile would be this heavy, and this expensive?
While Liz and I have been in Georgia, we’ve done a lot of the cooking – making meals, some involved, some easy.
We’ve stepped into the suburban tempo of living in a house full of kids, who are in both high school and middle school (and juggling part-time jobs) – with all the activity and chaos that entails.
