Unexpected 5K
When we arrived at the Greenway Trail today, our normal parking area was blocked off. Turns out, there was a 5K race happening along the trail!
Costco Residue
Shopping again at Costco, where some rough math on the back of a napkin led me to purchase this large box of 75 Eggo waffles.
Turtle Display
The placard next to the area indicates that it’s a Turtle Garden, and was installed by the Ladybugs Garden Club of Lilburn. After a bit of light searching online, I found a Facebook page, and learned that the group has been active since 1989.
Camp Creek Greenway Trail
There are a lot of hills near us, which makes the prospect of running… challenging. I’ll be honest, the very notion of running is a challenge to me, and throwing steep hills into the mix is a rough addition.
Luckily, we’ve found a few spots nearby that are a bit more level. It requires some driving (and some small bit of planning), but definitely a better choice than hills.
Early Morning Departure
Woke up early today, to see Tricia off. She’s heading to training for a few weeks, and was catching an early morning ride to the airport.
Alone at the Movies
Tonight, we arrived in the nick of time… and discovered we mostly had the entire theater to ourselves. The kids got pretty excited, and scrambled down to the front to get seats closer to the screen.
Costco Initiation
Got a tour of Costco today. I know I’ve been to one before, but it’s been ages. Turns out, shopping for a family of three kids means that buying in bulk makes a lot of sense (both pragmatic and financial).

A Busy and Event-Filled Day
Let’s just say that today, a lot of things went down. There was an incident in the morning involving super glue being mistaken for frosting. And then there was a walk to church that should have been a pleasant stroll with a bit of rain, but the weather turned on us – leaving us pretty wet, both there and on the way back.

One great gift that the Fords got was a Karaoke set. Shortly after it was plugged in, all the kids began taking turns singing songs. As you can probably imagine, it was both awesome and incessant for the remainder of the day:

Flying in to Georgia last night took about 3 times longer than necessary. Our flight was delayed for an hour or two, and after our plane finally landed… we were stuck behind three other planes, waiting for a gate. To top things off, a part of Liz’s luggage didn’t show up.
