After grabbing a few items from woot.com, Chris decided to purchase this little guy: a Woot Monkey. Apparently, the thing launches in the same way that you would launch a slingshot, and emits a somewhat unsettling screeching sound. Kinda like it’s dying.

Today marks the official soft launch of our division’s website. This has been the project that Chris and I have been working at, for some time now. It’s not quite ready for public viewing yet, but we did an internal launch today. Chris and I were both headed out around noon (we were taking a half day off, since we…

Time for another coin guessing game! This one’s from Matt again, who brought in a big pillowsack full of change. I’m not sure how he accumulates so much change, so quickly. I’m convinced that every day, after work, he buys a Slim Jim or something, just so he can get change. He seems to be building these stockpiles faster than…

This morning, on his way in to work… Mike saw a guy jump into the Chicago river. When I walked in to the office, I heard him telling the story and all day, people have been asking him what he saw, what happened. Over the course of the day, today… we were looking for news blurbs. Last year, there was a big office-wide air hockey competition. Hopefuls from across all departments (Sales, Programming, Marketing/Promotion and even the airstaff) threw in and threw down. This year, now that we have another station on board… there are more players reaching for that rainbow. Ever since the renovation, the air hockey table has been moved out of the green…

Mike’s birthday isn’t until later on this month, but due to scheduling… we decided to have the celebratory lunch a bit early. Tricia was in from NY and Deb was in town, so we held the event a little early. We showed up at Portillo’s to find noisemakers and party hats, waiting for us. We had the whole back room…

Late in the morning, someone looked out the window and noticed the incredibly HUGE snowflakes coming down. Granted, it was snowing pretty hard, but I don’t know that I’ve ever really seen snow this big before. This had everyone out of their seats and up against the windows, looking out over downtown Chicago. I don’t know that these pictures (and…

This particular moment reminded me a great deal of when Justin and Ben played pancake frisbee. I remember laughing so much at that, I ended up swallowing my gum.
